After three failed tests, however, the recipient will no longer be eligible for cash assistance. The Kansas House voted in favor of the proposal, 99-26, passing the bill on to the Senate for consideration. Recipients who test positive will be provided with treatment for their addiction.

This includes child care assistance and temporary assistance for families.
