Sometimes, reactions due to incompatible blood types can prove to be fatal. Otherwise, an allergic-type reaction may occur. In cases where a blood transfusion may be necessary, such as in tragic car accidents or due to a medical condition such as dengue fever, there is a need to ensure that the blood type of the donor should be compatible to that of the recipient.
